3.5 years as a key contributor to the weekly 1Xtra Playlist meeting, using my knowledge and insight to ensure 1Xtra maintains its position as a global tastemaker.

Highly skilled in recognising future music trends by combining natural instinct with quantitative data (streaming stats, YouTube views, chart positions etc) and qualitative research (artist-fan engagement, organic buzz, live performance ability).

Early ambassador of 00s of ‘SoundCloud breakout’ acts, securing early support for them on 1Xtra and Radio 1. Including Chance The Rapper, Tom Misch, Gallant, Bryson Tiller, G Eazy, D.R.A.M, Mura Masa, Kaytranada, Ray BLK, Goldlink, Daniel Caesar, Kali Uchis, NAO, Raye.

Regular advisor and consultant to the music industry (pluggers, major and indie labels, artist management) on campaign rollouts, artist positioning and music feedback.

Member of the BRITs Voting Academy including the Critics Choice Award and a panel member for 1Xtra’s Hot For - the network’s annual ‘ones to watch’ list championing acts for the coming year.
